where our clients are staying - october 2026

This month, Huckleberry Travel clients are checking into three properties that show just how different a great hotel experience can be: a beautifully restored palace in the heart of Dresden, an intimate mountaintop retreat in Australia, and a beachfront escape on Oahu’s quieter western coast. They’re three completely different experiences, but that’s part of what we love about choosing hotels: finding a property that doesn’t just give you a place to sleep, but actually becomes part of the trip. And, through the Huckleberry Travel Hotel Program, our clients will enjoy some extra VIP treatment along the way.

Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden — Sleeping in a Royal Palace

Our clients visiting Dresden are staying at Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden, an 18th-century palace in the heart of the city’s historic Old Town. Originally built by Augustus the Strong and given to his mistress, Countess Constantia von Cosel, the property has a history that’s considerably more colorful than your average luxury hotel. Following an extensive renovation, its grand Baroque exterior now gives way to contemporary interiors that still pay tribute to the building’s royal past.

The location is equally impressive. Guests are just steps from some of Dresden’s most important landmarks, including the Semper Opera House, Royal Palace, Zwinger, and Frauenkirche. The hotel has 180 rooms and 31 suites, along with several restaurants and bars and a spa with an indoor pool, saunas, steam bath, infrared cabin, and fitness facilities.

And when our clients book Hotel Taschenbergpalais through Huckleberry Travel, their stay comes with some valuable extras:

• Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
• Daily Buffet breakfast for up to two guests per bedroom, served in the restaurant
• $100 USD equivalent Food & Beverage credit to be utilized during stay (not combinable, not valid on room rate, no cash value if not redeemed in full)
• Bookings in our Suites will also receive complimentary mini-bar
• Early check-in / Late check-out, subject to availability

Pro-Tip: Runners and power-walkers can ask the concierge for route maps plotting scenic courses along the nearby Elbe riverfront.

Spicers Peak Lodge — An Australian Mountain Hideaway

Our clients heading Down Under are getting well off the beaten path at Spicers Peak Lodge, an intimate all-inclusive retreat high in Queensland’s Scenic Rim. Surrounded by thousands of acres of wilderness with a World Heritage-listed national park as its backdrop, this is the kind of place you go when you really want to get away from everything.

The experience is intimate and highly personalized, with just a small collection of suites and private lodges overlooking the surrounding mountains. Guests can hike or mountain bike through the landscape, relax at Spa Anise, or simply settle in beside a bluestone fireplace and take in the views. Food is also a major part of the experience, with gourmet meals, beverages, and a nightly chef’s tasting menu included in the stay.

Because so much of the Spicers Peak Lodge experience is already included, the benefits our clients receive through the Huckleberry Travel Hotel Program add another layer to the stay:

• Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
• Daily breakfast for up to two guests per bedroom, served in the restaurant and via in-room dining (already included in property rates)
• $100 USD equivalent Resort credit to be utilized during stay, applicable towards Spa services, Select On-site experiences, and beverage upgrades (not combinable, not valid on room rate, no cash value if not redeemed in full)
• Early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability
• Complimentary Wi-Fi

Pro-Tip: For an especially memorable arrival, consider traveling to the lodge by helicopter. Seeing Queensland’s Scenic Rim and the lodge’s spectacular mountaintop setting from the air makes getting there part of the experience.

Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina — A Quieter Side of Oahu

In Hawaii, our clients are escaping the bustle of Waikiki for Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, set along the island’s rugged western coast. The resort combines Four Seasons polish with a distinctly Hawaiian sense of place, with open-air spaces, rooms and suites with private lanais, and views stretching from the Waianae Mountains to the Pacific.

There’s plenty of reason to stay put once you arrive. Guests can spend their days on the beach, snorkeling, paddleboarding, practicing sunrise yoga, playing golf at Ko Olina Golf Club, or relaxing beside the adults-only infinity pool. Dining ranges from fresh seafood at Mina’s Fish House to Italian cuisine at Noe, while families have their own pool and complimentary kids’ program. And unlike staying in Honolulu, Ko Olina offers a more relaxed resort experience while still providing a great base for exploring the rest of Oahu.

Our Huckleberry Travel Hotel Program benefits make a stay at Four Seasons Oahu even sweeter:

• Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
• Daily breakfast credit of $45 per person, for up to two guests per bedroom, served in the restaurant (credit is non-cumulative)
• $100 USD Resort or Hotel credit to be utilized during stay (not combinable, not valid on room rate, no cash value if not redeemed in full)
• Early Check-In / Late Check-Out, subject to availability
• Complimentary Wi-Fi

Pro-Tip: Get off the resort for a taste of one of Oahu’s most famous local specialties: garlic butter shrimp. Ask the concierge where to find their favorite North Shore food truck and make it part of a day exploring the island.

Three hotels, three very different experiences, and three great reminders that where you stay can be as memorable as where you go. Whether it’s sleeping in a former royal palace, disappearing into the Australian wilderness, or waking up beside the Pacific in Hawaii, we love finding properties that become part of the story of a trip. And when we can add breakfast, hotel credits, potential upgrades, and other VIP benefits through the Huckleberry Travel Hotel Program, all the better. If you’re thinking about your next trip, get in touch and let us help you find a hotel worth getting excited about.
