on holocaust rememberance day

Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pause to remember the six million Jews and the millions of others who were murdered during the Holocaust.

In light of current events at home and around the world, it doesn’t always feel appropriate to be talking about travel. There are moments when reflection matters more than itineraries, and remembrance matters more than reservations. Today is one of those days.

And yet, we are reminded that travel — at its best — is transformative. It has the power to deepen understanding, preserve memory, and connect us to the stories that shape who we are. Standing in places where history unfolded can move us in ways books alone cannot.

We remember. We reflect. And we honor the lives lost by committing ourselves to empathy, education, and care for one another.
