our alaska cruise

Well, today's the day! -- The day that we're leaving for Vancouver, which is the departure port for our Alaska cruise on Princess!  We've been to Alaska before, of course, but truth be told, this is our first Alaska cruise. That means that we'll finally be able to see the gorgeous inside passage.

We've also got lots of other fun excursions planned. We're going sea kayaking. We're also planning a rainforest hike, and a bike ride from summit to sea! We've got a crab feast on order, as well! One of us is still lobbying to have us take a helicopter excursion to land on a glacier, but we're still up in the air about that one.

One thing is for sure, though. We're going to have a great time. Since we're cruising with Princess--one of our preferred cruise lines--the itinerary is authentic and immersive. Even while we're on board, we'll have the opportunity to meet sled dog puppies, chat with naturalists and park rangers, and even meet an Iditarod champion!
