If you’re a bonafide Francophile, we’re sure that you’re itching to get back to the City of Light. Maybe that’s the reason that so many people latched onto the Netflix series “Emily in Paris.” Though the show has gotten mixed reviews, “Emily in Paris” has gotten a lot of traction on social media — as much for the fact that it’s set and was filmed in Paris, as for anything else.

Those iconic Parisian locales aren’t exactly difficult to find — the Eiffel Tower, the Palais Royale and Pont Alexandre III are all pretty easy to find. But the thing that we really miss about Paris is the food! So, if you’re looking to visit some of the boulangeries and restaurants from the show, we’re here to tell you where to find them!

La Boulangerie Moderne

Emily’s first pain au chocolat was just a few steps away from her apartment on the Place de l’Estrapade. La Boulangerie Moderne is definitely worth a visit — it’s won awards for its galette de rois’! Since everything’s baked on premises each day, you’ll be getting the real deal if you try croissants or madeleines from this place!

Le Grand Véfour

On the northern side of the Palais Royale, you’l find Le Grand Véfour, one of the most beautiful restaurants in Paris. The chef/owner is Guy Martin, and the restaurant currently has two Michelin stars, making it the ideal fancy night out in France. When you go, however, make sure that you show up for your reservation on the correct date. Emily transposed the month and the day, and showed up months early.

Café de l’Homme

Emily’s first swanky event was filmed at the Café de l’Homme, inside the Museum of Evolution and Mankind. The museum is part of the Palais de Challot, a cultural complex with incredible views of the Eiffel Tower.

La Maison Rose

La Maison Rose is a Montmartre landmark. The restaurant dates back to 1909, and not only did Emily eat there, but it’s also right near the place where she staged her social media stunt by lounging on a bed outdoors. We love Montmartre, personally. It’s got more of a neighborhood feel, so even though you’re not in “tourist central,” it’s our favorite place to stay when we visit, because we can pretend that we’re locals.

So, those are some of the cafés and restaurants that Emily visited, and you can go there, as well! Just let us know if you’d like to start making a plan. As people get vaccinated, travel is starting to open up, so there’s never been a better time to make a plan.
