3 things to do in savannah

There’s so much to see and do in Savannah, Georgia, that it’s almost impossible to narrow it down to our three favorites. But let’s start with these three:

1. EXPERIENCE SAVANNAH’S RICH HISTORY

See the past come to life as re-enactors portray historical events right before your eyes. Learn about the city’s role in the Revolutionary and Civil wars while traveling through the town and trying to find hidden fountains and other “secret” stops. Using Old Town Trolley Tours, you can check out some of Savannah’s most iconic spots, like the Mercer-Williams house, made famous in the book and movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Or get a different view from the water on Savannah Riverboat Cruises.

2. GET ON THE WATER

Explore Savannah’s historic waterways by boat or kayak via the Dolphin Magic cruise or Savannah Coastal EcoTours. Sights include Tybee Island, Fort Jackson and Cockspur Island Lighthouse. You will learn all about the local ecosystem while looking out for Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.

3. THRILLS INCLUDED

Savannah is known for its notoriously haunted properties and has been named America’s most haunted city by The American Institute of Parapsychology. To hear thrilling tales of paranormal stories, poltergeists and haunted hotels, dare to take a Hearse Ghost Tour, 6th Sense World or Afterlife Tours.
