we're at virtuoso travel week!

This is a really exciting week for us! This week, the entire Huckleberry Travel Team will be working remotely from Las Vegas, Nevada where we’ll be attending luxury travel’s largest and most important global event — Virtuoso Travel Week!

Of course, we’re working while we’re here, so if you need us, as always, Tom, David, Erin, and Heather are just a phone call or email away. But most of the work we’re doing involves meeting with hotel groups, resorts, cruise lines, airlines and tour operators.

Tom has an appointment with the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort Spa and Casino this week, and they thoughtfully sent some materials in advance for us to prepare, including this video that has us longing for a trip to Lake Tahoe!

We’ll be learning about how our network of preferred suppliers has adapted to the new landscape of travel, post-COVID (and yes, we know that COVID is still with us, but…we’re being optimistic, here), and we’ll be checking in with those suppliers we use most frequently, to give them feedback about what our clients are telling us after they return from their trips.

If you’ve got a stay at a Virtuoso “Best of the Best” hotel — that is, once where you get our exclusive Virtuoso Amenities — we’ll be seeking out our reps from those properties, so that we can alert them to your arrival, and find out anything we might need to know in advance of your trip.

And certainly, we’ll be having some fun while we’re here. We haven’t seen our colleagues in person in over a year and a half, after all! And this is the first face-to-face meeting of the entire Huckleberry Travel team since before Heather joined our team of powerhouse travel advisors.

Switzerland is trending as one of the most requested destinations for our clients. (You heard it here, first!) So, we’ll be meeting with the Swiss Tourism Office, as well as many supplier partners in the destination.

But mostly, it’s about making those connections with suppliers, so that we can do our job to take care of you before, during and after your trip. We calculated it, and right now, between the four of us, we’ve got nearly 300 meetings scheduled for this week!

It helps us do a better job for you when you’re traveling!
